What is Eyelid surgery?

Hooded upper lids can make the eyes look tired and sometimes even limit your field of vision. Under-eye bags rarely respond to sleep or creams. Blepharoplasty corrects both through incisions hidden in the natural lid crease.

Is it right for me?

  • Excess skin on the upper lids
  • Puffiness or fat bags under the eyes
  • No active eye disease or severe dry eye

Procedure steps

Upper-lid incisions sit in the natural crease. Lower-lid incisions are just below the lashes or inside the lid. Fat is removed or repositioned and excess skin trimmed.

Recovery

Cold compresses in the first 48 hours reduce swelling. Stitches come out around day five. Avoid eye make-up and contact lenses for two weeks.

Risks and safety

  • Temporary dry or irritated eyes
  • Temporary blurred vision
  • Slight asymmetry
  • Difficulty closing the eyes fully (rare)
