What is Facelift and neck lift?
With age, facial tissues descend and the jawline and neck angle soften. Rather than pulling the skin, a facelift returns the muscle-tissue layer beneath it to where it was — which is why the result looks more natural and lasts longer.
Is it right for me?
- Sagging cheeks and jowls
- Loose skin and visible bands in the neck
- Good general health and not smoking
Procedure steps
Incisions follow the hairline and run behind the ear so they are hidden later. The deep layer is lifted and secured, excess skin removed and closed without tension.
Recovery
Swelling and bruising are most noticeable in the first week. Stitches come out after 7–10 days and most people feel ready to be seen in public after 2–3 weeks.
Risks and safety
- Haematoma (a collection of blood)
- Temporary nerve injury and numbness
- Scarring
- Temporary hair loss near the incision
